On the afternoon of June 12 local time, the China (Jiangsu) – Kazakhstan Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange, themed “Silk Road Together, Platform Empowerment, Painting a New Blueprint,” was held in Astana. The exchange was hosted by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province and organized by the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and Jiangsu Soho Holdings Group Co., Ltd., with support from the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, and other Chinese and foreign institutions.
Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd President Bi Guangming was invited to attend, accompanied by President Assistant and General Manager of Kangni Railway Transport Liu Luoming, and Deputy General Manager of Railway Transport Business Division and General Manager of the Overseas Business Department Huang Jia. At the exchange, Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, delivered a keynote speech. Guests including Arman Shakaliyev, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan; Han Chunlin, Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan; representatives of the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan; and Sun Weidong, Secretary-General of the China-Central Asia Mechanism, successively addressed the event.
At the meeting, representatives of Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd had in-depth exchanges with political and business figures from Kazakhstan as well as enterprise representatives from both China and Kazakhstan, focusing on practical alignment in areas such as railway transport industrial synergy, project cooperation, and Central Asian market expansion. They reached important cooperation consensus with local vehicle manufacturers, laying the foundation for further in-depth cooperation.
As a crossroads in Central Asia connecting the Eurasian continent, Kazakhstan is also a key hub for China’s highquality Belt and Road cooperation, offering broad space for cooperation with China in railway transport and other fields. In recent years, Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd has actively expanded its business in Kazakhstan and has participated in the construction of multiple local railway transport projects.
